Interesting read, but the issue of copyright theft is not so easy to take lightly when it happens to you.
What we need is a simple way to license tracks legitimately for personal web use, so that youtube uploaders can pay the lables and artists for the work they use.

So basically, cut off the first 30 seconds of ANY song and you're good... Or slow it down or speed it up 5%...

Agreed.
It will hopefully become more refined as time goes on making hacks like the ones found in the article impossible.
