I got my new computer, and am currently buying peoples iTunes giftcards off them to get FCP X with compressor and motion for a bit less than $400!
Thanks to apple and the $100 itunes back to school promotion, this might happen

Apple bites back - they posted four videos to compare FCP X' workflow with Avid and PPro.
They, of course, only show the things that really are better in the new FCP... things that I really like... cant wait until they fix the rest.
