Hello all. I'm fairly well versed in the art of video but don't really have a clue what I'm doing when it comes to the audio side of things. I'm using an HG21 w/ a Rode Stereo Video Mic to film some upcoming concerts. What are the "ideal" settings for when filming close to the stage or on stage where the surrounding music will be very loud? Do I leave the audio attenuation on the camera on or off when using an external mic? What settings do I use on the SVM? Any help would be great, I've really struggled with this aspect of filming concerts lately. Lots of great footage ruined by terribly clipped audio. Thanks!
