I have been doing quite a number of interviews with in-club shooting as of late (I am filming a documentary on stand-up comics) and I am typically in situations that require me to fire up my 126 LED camera lights. I am using my HV20 with wide angle adapter shooting in HD 24p in Cinemode and am finding that the footage looks good, but a little flat and bland. I guess I was hoping that the Cinemode combined with HD 24p would give me a really unique, classy result but I am not overly thrilled with it. It's okay...but not mind blowing. Do you think that shooting in lower light situations that require camera lights is not a good combo for shooting in Cinemode? Would shooting in portrait mode possibly bring the footage to life a bit more, especially when filming interviews (I am under the impressions that portrait mode zero's in on the subject and makes him/her more prominent?) Could the wide angle be affecting the image quality? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Happy holidays to all.
