I'm using the version release on July 8. Is there a version made only for 550D?
I think from now on, there will only be unified versions release, as it works on all three model, so no need to upload the same version of the hack with three different labels...I guess.

MagicLantern August 22nd - Pre-Installed
Same package as the previous, only updated with the lastest build to date. a1ex said (on DVXuser.com) that you don't need EOScard.exe anymore, that functionality is now enabled in the firmware: just run the .fir from an unbootable card and it would work.
I personally prefer to use EOScard.exe because you copy/paste the files and make the card bootable directly from the computer and everything is done in less than 20 seconds. But for a first time installation, note that you can make the card bootable directly from the .fir from the August 22nd Build.
How did you make your cropmarks? Every time I made custom cropmarks in PhotoShop the alpha channel came out messed up. I haven't tried yours yet, so I don't know if they are correct.
There is no such thing as "Idiot-Proof".........a good Idiot will get around that every time.
1) Save as a plain white background, as .bmp: file format Windows or OS/2 and Depth as 8bit and it should be ok.
2) They work, at least on my T2i. But as they work the same as the other cropmarks available for download on the ML wiki page, I guess they're ok!
For the cropmarks, bare in mind I mainly shoot short films with them, so they're basically 1.85:1 and 2.40:1 with different additions in each. Nothing exceptional, but for shooting shorts I think they're very nice and effective. Let me know if you ever try them.
Here's my last cropmarks, which I haven't changed for a whole month (which means that I'll probably keep them):

Lastest pre-installed build, September 17th.
If it's the first time you install it, please refer to post #298
can someone help me install it on a rebel t3i. it wont let me add the files to my memory card.
and if i have to install 1 then the other can you please put it up in the order im supposed to install it please im using windows 7 64bit
Now also HDR-video feature available. Somewhat complicated. Has anyone tried it?
Well, how do they correct the time parallax? The double outlines of moving objects?
Is there anyone else experiencing problems with recent builds? I can't have the cropmarks to work with newer builds than November 25th.
So far, the Nov25th build works well for me, but wondering. I've even recreated the cropmarks, saving using different modes...still, nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?
I just installed the latest build (the one a1ex posted yesterday, with monochrome live view) and cropmarks work fine.
Try reinstalling ML from scratch on a freshly formatted card ?
1) Tried, nothing changes. There's only one cropmarks that works (that one, why I don't know)...
2) I did, formatted, reinstalled the latest version and did everything right. The build works, only the cropmarks don't, well, not all. So I'll use the Nov25th instead, until I find why.
Stupid option: Press Q for bringing sub-menus in order to change the cropmarks...was that clearly written somewhere or I'm just dumb not to have found it before?
I just bought a t2i and installed the December release of ML. I have it in the video mode but can not get it out of auto in that mode for f stop, shutter or Kelvin. If not can you refer me to someone who know about magic lantern on a t2i? How do I adjust F-stop, shutter and kelvin in video mode? I tried using manual and it does not shoot video in that mode. What am I doing wrong.
You need to go into the standard Canon menu (not the Magic Lantern menu) while in VIDEO mode. There you can change exposure to MANUAL.
Once you do that you should be fine.
