Thread: Help me make a DLSR wishlist for my mom.

Default Help me make a DLSR wishlist for my mom.

My mom is bugging me about what to get me for christmas. She usually only spends about 50 or 60 bucks on me now since I'm grown (my wife gets the big stuff).

But she wants to know what to get me for christmas, and of course I want something film related, but I don't know what to tell her in that price range.

I'm looking for some useful stuff to add to my DSLR in that price range. Post links if you can so I can just send her the links to order it.

OK, but first give us a list of what you've already got...

I have a camera! I sent her a link to a pelican case I found on B and H. I have a shotgun mic, a Zoom H4N, a boom pole, Headphones, I have rails.. but not sure if they will work with this camera. I bought them for my HV40 and when I tried to use them on my GH1 it like scuffed the body so I haven't tried using it on my t2i. I'll probably get a 2nd set specifically for dslr's for the t2i. I tried to get her to get me a 1.8f 50mm EF lens.. but she has no clue what to look for.

Cokin filter holder, adaptor ring and some ND and Grad ND's. $60 should cover at least the basics there.

Battery Grip! Comes with two canon T2i batteries (and an extra holder that allows standard "AA" batteries) at Amazon for $55.00.
Generic, but has a lot of features and works quite well.

I bought these, they're made by the same guy who makes the GT35 adapters. They're acrylic but they're solid. Great for supporting heavier lenses, such as my old Takumar 200/4.
