    Default Non-profit donation

    Greetings,

I work for a non-profit organization called The Zoe Foundation based out of Kansas City, MO. We educate and raise awareness about adoption, help raise funds for families wanting to adopt, and support birth mothers practically and emotionally who are wanting to give their babies up for adoption.

Right now we are in need of a consumer-grade camcorder to video record fund-raising banquets and teachings given nationwide. Preferably we are looking for something that is capable of recording in high-def to internal ssd memory so that there are no interruptions every 12 minutes(or whatever the cut-off is for flash media). My ideal target is something similar to a Canon M31.

If you are interested in donating any equipment to The Zoe Foundation, please email "stephen at thewatchful dot org". You can also find out more about our organization at www.thezoefoundation.com.

    We are a tax-deductible 5013c.

    Thank you!

Why not post for someone who has the equipment to donate thier time instead? I do not want to go into details, but I have worked with several organizations and provided my services free of charge. I have also been on the other end, where someone has a budget or gets a donation of an item. Not sure who is going to be using the camera as well, scary sometimes.

I think there are a lot of guys out there that would donate some low hours to help out and you will get work that looks pretty good and does not scare people off.

Well, that's good advice generally speaking. In this case, though I am the media director and I'll be the one doing most of the work. Normally, we'll be using the T2i to do alot of shorts and other various 'creative' promo projects. But we need something we can let roll for 1-2 hours during fund-raisers.

I don't consider myself a great filmmaker but I think I can handle things pretty well and keep it professional looking...my reel, if you're curious at all:

Now, of course I certainly won't disregard anyone interested in donating time or services! It may not be our first priority need right now, but that doesn't mean we don't need it. =)

    Reel looks good!

I was just using the example based on someone wanting a job done, but did not knowing how to do it, what to use, etc.
(trust me, I have seen the best or the worst examples)

If I was near you, I would take it on for sure.
