    Thanks for your submission.
The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

Huey, I'm just going to throw this out there. Was this film made within the week and a bit our contest allows? If not, then technically, it's a disqualification.

Daniel, it was submitted to Youtube and Vimeo within the timeframe. There's no telling when it was made. If someone just happens to make a movie within the timeframe, which fits the contest theme, then I say allow it. It's not going to occur very often and we sure as hell could use more entries.

If anyone has a problem with this, let me know. Use a PM if you're more comfortable.

Thats good enough for me. But I still think we should be strict on the rules. We don't want just anyone submitting films they made in 2008 now, do we?

The issue isn't when it was made so much as how much time goes into it. It wouldn't be right to have something which had six weeks of work gone into it competing with entries which were made in just two weeks.

I can't think of a way to ensure that entries were made in the timeframe and I think too many rules might deter people from entering. So, unless anyone has some strong objections, I'll admit this one.

NO objections. I was just curious if you knew the details about it.

Then about ten minutes later posts this to footage:

Then almost 30 minutes later he writes:

Good question? Is there such a contest? Where/how do i sign up?
My take is that he did make this movie for the contest, but couldn't wait to show it. All legit, I'd say.
    Is this right, Sunday Cracker?

No he posted it, then someone suggested he submit it to the contest.
You'll never know if you don't go. GO!

I saw it in the footage thread and realized that it fitted the theme perfectly. He did not know about the contest before I alerted him to it. I was also wondering if it had been made in the last 2 weeks but was not going to make an issue out of it. I thought he can read the rules himself.

So how did he submit an entry before you alerted him?

Hey guys. Really sorry about all of the confusion. I filmed this from beginning to end on sunday. i then put it in the footage just to get outsider opinions on it. Someone then informed me about the contest (of which i DID NOT know existed), and i would love to be considered for it, but if this disqualifies me then i understand. no harm, no foul. thanks again.

(i hope this clears things up, and there are no hard feelings)

Hello Ian, again thank you for your submission, welcome to the contest and good luck.
I don't want to make a big deal about this, but just to make sure I'm not more senile than I think I am. I still don't get how you submitted your entry, posted it to a footage thread ten minutes later and then claimed you hadn't heard of the contest some 40 minutes after your submission.

I hope I'm not losing it

    Huge egg on face!
Turns out I am losing it. Just checked again and I was wrong about those times.
    My sincerest apologies.

Hi Ian, the video will not show up until the deadline, but I don’t think is should remain pending.
Your video is at your own Vimeo site, you don’t need to upload it twice. Just add it to the group from your own page. You need to have scripts enabled in your browser to see the options.

It's looking like I may not make this contest... I'll try, but if there's a no-show from me...

Playing, your movie shows as 'uploading' when I try to view it. Sunday Cracker, yours is good to go live at the deadline.

You know, it'll be crap because of it's suddenness (I literally didn't even think about it till two seconds ago), but I might just try to throw something up. Granted, Sunday Cracker has already handed my ass to me on a silver platter, but hey! The more entries, the merrier right?
