Question Broadcast monitor with invert/flip switch (horizontal and vertical)

    Hey guys,

I heard that some old sony monitors have a switch to flip the image.
    (Horizontally and vertically)
I checked ebay but I don't know if any of those can flip the image.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

You could always turn the deflection coil 180 degrees...

Sorry but I'm not quite into such technical stuff but is there a deflection coil for each axis (vertical and horizontal) ?

No, it's just one big coil that does it all... it has winding for both horizontal & vertical. You can also re-solder the leads to flip just one axis. But be careful, there are thousands of volts inside the box - don't fry yourself!

Simplest thing is to turn the monitor itself upside-down...

Ah ok ... turning the monitor upside down is probably the easiest solution.

But if anyone finds a monitor with a rotation switch, let me know
