    Default HV20 freezes

    I have an HV20.
My problem is that stripes appeared on my screen.
And after a few seconds, freezes the camera.
Is the firmware the problem? Are there any updates to the firmware?

    Greetings from Germany

Wanna give us some more info than that? What have you done recently with the camera? (maintenance, dropped it, threw it etc...).

    I normally used the camera.
After a time, just come stripes. Then I have to reset the camera.

    I think it's a software error...

I make later a video of the error.

Edit: Where can I find this Hackfirmware?

Read through the Firmware hack subforum. There are links in it to the files and instructions.

    Here's a quick shortcut.

It's right there, in the first post... "Available here" http://www.hv20.com/showthread.php?2...ng-Thread-(new)

How much is the menu changed by this hacked firmware?

When I start the Update, I get the message: This firmware update file is not intended for the connected camera.

Ah, now we know that a HV20 doesn't take the hack!

HV20? Jolly needs to make you a custom firmware that masquerades as an HV20 update. Trying the hacked firmware is just like trying the hv30 update on the hv20. The device IDs won't match and nothing will happen. But if you want to be the tester, lets contact jolly for a PROPER way to test this and maybe fix your camera.
