Windows Movie Maker opens up when I do a search for it and I"m able to click around in it. However, I do not see it in my "add remove" list???? If I have movie maker - shouldn't it appear in add/remove?

No. WMM is part of the Windows operating system. The only things that show up in Add/Remove are programs you install yourself.
