The binder clip is the first thing i thought of!!! And Yeah, we'd need something that won't slip off- although I'm pretty surprised how well it holds on there (the toy ring).

Somehow I feel like I already have the answer.....weird.

    ....BTW, congrats to hemy2000!!

I am definitely interested in this, but I think I'm going to wait for a HVFF 2.0 :P
Are there any big improvement plans in the works ?

Hey everyone - just want to let you know that I will be making a trip to the stores sometime this week. If you want an HVFF, just hit me up. Let me know early so I can get all the parts at once, which means a quicker turnaround time for you!

    first post!

I'm also very interested in getting a FF, would be super awesome.

I will say though, I don't have an adapter/stepup ring on mine, will it still clamp onto the main body of the cam or am I going to have to use my wide angle lens all the time? I don't really want to as its a cheap one and gives me some radial blurring if I zoom too much and change the focus.

It won't hold on without something to keep it there, but you could get one of these babies (I use one):

thanks daniel. Is the only benefit of the lens hood (aside from being something to put the FF on) to stop glare etc to get better light levels?

    *edit*

I just checked out your youtube page, the song Scotty Doesn't know is a definite favourite of mine!

yes it helps with glare and flares, plus is some added protection on the front of your lens, which never hurts.

Hi Andy, got your PM. Yes the lens hood is nearly a must-have accessory and now serves another purpose for use with the HVFF as well as protecting the lens and blocking sun flares and glare coming into the lens directly.

The $10 price tag makes it a no-brainer.

So, for a total of $50 (at most) you get the hood and HVFF... still cheaper than the IRV... also, it's available...

Just got another HVFF inquiry... this one from the Netherlands!!! It sure is nice to be able to say: "yes" you can use the HVFF with a Raynox (43mm-52mm)- or the lens hood, or with step-up rings-

ALSO, the HVFF fits with just ONE 43mm-52mm step-up ring!! I tried it yesterday and it fit nicely- although I'd recommend Almohada's step-up/down design, as it still sticks off a little without the extra ring. But if you're on a real tight budget, the $3.99 price tag for the step-up ring beats the $9.99 cost of the lens hood...

HVFF slogan: As long as you don't go naked- we can help you!
