Default Anyone still doing a "professional" flip hack for the HV??

I contacted JAG35 and they said they are no longer offering the flip hack.

I see all kinds of "DIY" threads, but I'm not into tearing into my camera.

Is anyone still doing a "professional and trusted" job of making the flip hacks?

Do you have a HV30? Then there's already a reversible software hack available.

Yep, but if he's like me (Hv40) that's another story...for now!

    Yes, I have an HV40.

So...nothing softwarey for me- but that would be AWESOME.

    Maybe not.

Your best option might be the Shrigg Rig, or make your own.

Shrigg Rig just makes it so that you don't have to flip in post because it mounts upside down. You still need a flip hack, monitor, or mirror.

You can get a DVD player with input for framing (not really enough for focusing) for less than 100$. A Shrigg rig just avoids you to flip your footage in post, a bit useless when any NLE can flip it with a right click/rotate option...
And as Jolly said that there's no HV40 firmware available at this time to work on a flip-hack for the HV40...a monitor is the best option to date...
