Lightbulb Stand, Understood? --- A twisted short film

A writer attempts originality in spite of external societal forces...until he reconsiders the origin of what is holding him back.

Shot with a bare HV30. Peep it! I hope you guys like it.

the script is great! constant banta and plenty of angles
from the technical side, you can hear that lovely tape sound coming from the camera,(which we all dread) an external mic would solve this ofc
    lighting was good to.
overall I liked it, thumbs up.

Hey thanks man. I'm glad you weren't scared by the dialogue!

Some people tell me they really like the originality and others tell me get confused and don't understand the point.

I'm just really trying to push the envelope as a writer. I feel that drab conversation in film is a wasted opportunity to express the true meaning of a piece. In this case, these characters obviously had a lot of social commentary in their dialogue.

    Noted on the sound.

Thanks again for checking it out.

Way too intellectual for the mainstream market.

Great dialog- can't wait to see (hear) what you're writing a year from now. Lost me a little sometimes, but hey, noone gets everything Woody Allen or Tarantino is saying either.

I agree. I feel like I should be doing me, not everyone else. (Not in a snobby way, I'm sure you understand)

@memento Thank you for the kind words man, glad you enjoyed it. I'm learning how to make myself better with each film. It's a fun process.
