Hey guys, thought I'd share a little movie created for the application at dortmund university of applied sciences. It's actually not scifi at all, but i figured some of you might like it anyway, or so i hope! Looking forward to your feedback, LennO!

"Short movie filmed end of may 2010 for application at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. Shot over a period of two weeks, the assignment was to create a max. 3-min short movie themed "personal idyll". Filmed with an HV20, starring Clarissa Born.

Kurzfilm für die Bewerbung an der FH Dortmund, Studiengang Film. Das Thema war "persönliche Idylle", maximal 3 Minuten. Die Produktionszeit betrug zwei Wochen.

This was for the second round of application, before that we had to submit a shortfilm or demos of previous work. Currently hoping to get positive feedback from them…

Hey man i thought that was awesome. Just one question - how did u do that shot at the start after the camera pushes through the window and spins over the houses and down to the street??

I'd seen your escape film before, it's really good as well.

Very good compositing, especially the first minute is just great. I'm sure you won't have trouble getting a place in Dortmund.

Thanks a lot guys! Didn't expect that much positive feedback here and on other boards! Really happy people like the film.

stinger354: I'll post a little Making of Video and maybe a short text outlining the details of the production (camera, PP…) when i find the time since a lot of people asked about that exact scene. It's not much of magic actually, some basic 3d and particles in maya, lotsa photos camera mapped, and a heavy bunch of color correction in Shake!

SenorKaffe: Nope, don't know him. Still waiting for their answer… haven't actually met that many students at FH Dortmund. Seems like the building's almost always totally empty when I'm there to submit my stuff
