Velbon DV-7000 on Sale at B&H(?)

After getting a little annoyed my Slik 504QF-II's inability to remain level during a pan, I was browsing for a suitable replacement and noticed that B&H has the DV-7000 for $89.95 now. I seem to recall it being a lot higher before, in the $120-130 range. I could be wrong, or this might be old news.....either way, I jumped on it and should have it this week. Thought I'd spread the word....

I miss the PH-358 head from my last Velbon (CX-686).

Yup! Got mine for that price too. Jumped on that last week. It should be here by tomorrow I think it's cheaper cuz their clearing out their stock of this certain model

The price drop may be due to Velbon discontinuing the PH-358 head. I broke the fastener on mine and a replacement is not to be had from BandH nor Adorama nor nearly any other place but eBay. And the going price on eBay was about $65 for a $30 - $35 head.

I just got my DV-7000 yesterday and I got the 89.99 deal from B&H. I was pleasantly surprised on the price. I have been following the DV-7000 on amazon and it has been consistently $114.00.
