I had the shrigg rig, but sold it due to not using a 35mm adapter..

However I was debating getting a set of rails because I still have a wide angle lens and mattebox I am using and didn't want to put too much stress on the threads. And I might find other things to mount to them.

I really like supporting these independent products like Indifocus. My question is does the indirails pro come with any sort of mattebox support? I am looking at the pictures and I do not see one.

No, but they have them available I believe. Ask them for a quote.

Their rails are nice, especially the actual rods, but personally I don't care for the camera mount system.

Yeah, I am just trying to find something cheap to mount my HV40, wideangle lens and cine city mattebox to. I have the mattebox that you guy seperately from the rails.. the 100.00 one. I was looking at those Cavision mini rails that I mentioned in my other thread but someone said they don't work with much of anything other than cavision stuff.

the best bet is probably gonna be to get the ones from cine city.

I have had cine city and cavision. There is a quality difference, especially in the actual rods but it doesn't justify anywhere near 2x the price.

I like the guys at Cine City/DV City/ India City/Active Industries. They return emails quickly and will send you what you need at a reasonable price. I'd suggest just sending them an email describing your needs and budget. They will negotiate pricing a little too.

Do you think I even need rails?

I've got a wide angle lens, and a mattebox to mount onto the camera.. thats it. I'm just trying to justify spending the money on something by proving I actually need it.
