    Default Feat Film with HV30

Is it a good idea to shoot a feat film drama/comedy with the HV30, the sound is taken care of because I have a good sound crew. The only attachments I have is the Canon WD-H43 lens. I think with some color correcting and good compression it will turn out good, anyone think it will be a waste of time?

    What is a feat film?
Good sound is essential, and lucky you if that's taken care of. What about lighting?
The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

Haha, I meant feature film, but honostly what do you think, I have the lighting and sound set to go, I just wonder if the HV30 with the lens is good enough.

Of course we know that - we're just making a little fun with a new member - so, welcome to the board!

Yes, the HV30 is OK for feature films, especially if HD material will be downsampled and shown in standard definition.

I just finished editing a 30-minute documentary, shot with my HV30, which will be shown on Finnish TV.

As said, sound and lighting is more important than the actual camera model used. Beware of noise (grain) in low light - read our "Cell phone trick" sticky!

Thanks for the kind welcoming and advice, I'm shooting fairly soon and needed some opinions.

Check out the posting history of user Azmyth... he was in the same situation some months ago.

Welcome, and have fun with your project.

Yup, Ayz, has come a long ways in a short amount of time. Looking foreward to seeing his film.

I agree with antman.. Azy put his production ahead of posting pictures of his 'tricked out' rig.
