Yes, of course it will. Does it really take less effort to post a thread and wait for a reply than to go to Apple's site and look up the system requirements?
FCP 5 works fine on Snow Leopard for me as far as I can tell.

I had quite some problems with FCS6 on snow leopard. It only works OK if you get the very latest (6.0.6 and motion 3.0.2 from the top of my head)
