    Default slow down my zoom

I have the Samsung SC MX20 digital memory camcorder.
I like it very much except for one thing,
The zoom only has one speed and it is way to fast.
I was wondering if any one has any ideas on how to modify.
I was thinking maybe drilling a small hole in the camera housing
and adding a potentiometer to adjust the zoom speed or something like that.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I would add a small double throw switch. On one output, I would add a resistor that slows down the zoom, the other I would leave open for normal zooming speed. Of course, whether this would work or not is another matter. What value resistor you ask? Dunno. Depends on how much you want to slow it down. Gonna have to experiment.

Also, if under warranty, I wouldn't do it.
