Default Workflow for mixing 7d footage with hv30

I am trying to figure out what would be the best way to mix the 7d and hv30 while preserving the best possible quality. I have Neoscene and Sony Vegas Platinum 9. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I guess putting them both in a 1920 x 1080 time ine will work fine

Yeah, just shoot at the same frame rate with both cameras and put them on a 1920 x 1080 time line with that same frame rate.

And if you shoot 24p, make sure you remove pulldown from the HV30 footage. But I'm sure you already knew that.
