Composite and HDV/DV but not S-video
Sorry, I meant composite, not sure why I was thinking S-video.
So Composite through the AV input (AV to DV ON) and HDV/DV through the Firewire connection (AV to DV Off) p69-71 of the manual. (also available as a .pdf file if you dont yet have the camera.)
Using the firewire input it's DV though, not HDV right?

If not HDV then people would not claim that the only way to see edited HDV is via the HV20?
