We just used Celtx to create a short for a local 48-hour shootout. The auto-formatting of the script and auto-completion of character names saved a huge amount of time. We had asked for volunteer actors and were able to store the head shots and contact info right along side our other pre-production notes. The web services allowed us to move the project easily from computer to computer, staying in sync.
Mac, PC and Linux compatible too... Gotta love that cross-platform goodness.
As you can probably tell, I was pretty impressed with my first "real" project using it.
