sorry didn't like it, just another test video with music slapped on top. colors didn't seem that punchy or overly special either. agree that the music doesn't match the footage.
you didn't tell any kind of story and the film evokes no emotion at all, so there's really no reason to watch it unless you like the song.

I didn't like the music either, but I did like the shot composition, I think he did a great job at picking his shots and composing them in an artistic way. So to me this is more than a test vid. I enjoyed the clip, Nice work man!!

The choice of music really works against you here. Hard driving guitar rock is not really the best backing for slow scenic landscape shots.

The shots themselves also seemed a little random, you have some nicely composed shots mixed with others that feel really un-composed, so the end result is difficult to judge.

Maybe if you did something more interesting with the editing? A few more effects on the transitions or some off-the-wall techniques might help to add interest (flip some shots, change the focus, run some backwards, play with the colour grading etc.)

As an example, here is a video using some really random footage, like you I was just playing around with the camera to pass the time, but by overlaying frames to make the shots as if they were large format negatives, grading the footage, slowing it down by 50% and using an unobtrusive backing track, it starts to become more interesting and holds together pretty well. Maybe using some similar ideas might work for your film too?

What kind of settings did you use on the camera, any filters on it? How did you make that effect that drapeama talked about? What software did you use to edit ?

All in all a ok video, could have been bether, but I liked it
The music did not match the film, but you got to do small mistakes to learn something

@ajuk, I found the vertical window on the rt. a distraction. I didn't think it was a cool addition to your vid but a minus overall. And I didn't care for your music choice either. The next time you give shooting and editing advice. I would suggest posting something of better quality than the original poster not severly worse. And please don't take this as being a dig, or an attack.

Exactly. It's hard to get that point accross on the internet sometimes without offending the person.

Dude, it's the internet, how am I going to be offended by anything you have to say?

Everyone has their own taste. You're absolutely entitled to regard my suggestions and my video as 'entirely worse' it's all subjective. You didn't think the music was suitable on either video, so I'm guessing you have different musical tastes to both me and KaPwnedPro

I still say that creative editing can make even the most random footage into something more interesting. I'd love to see the video with some tweaks and a different backing track.
