    Default Need Power cord replacement

Guys, my damn dog chewed up the power cord for my HV30, this is the cord from the adapter to the outlet not the one that plugs in to the camera, If you look at the power supply in the pic, the female plug is flat on the left and round on the right, aparently all the cords they have in the stores here are round on both sides, i need the exact same one for this power supply. I tried looking for it online but all of them comes with the power supply and all i need is the cord to the outlet, if you guys know wheres a good site to order it, i would really appreciate if you post it up.

A generic power cord will fit - at least it does on mine! Either of its rounded ends will fit in the square hole.

It looks like the cord in the photo has both sides rounded...

I see no reason why you'd need to polarize a non-grounded AC connection.

Is there any way to cut out the bad section and then splice it back together? It may be shorter, but will save you the hassle of finding another.

Considering the low cost of a generic power cord, I'd rather have a new one, and give the old, chewed one back to the dog...

(PS: Was the cord plugged in when it was chewed? I once witnessed a little wiener dog racing out, yelping, from under the sofa, a fraction of a second after the floor lamp went out...

Generic, round on both sides, will fit and work, so just go to your nearest store and get one. Take the adapter with you: If the plug fits, it's OK.
