HV20 + Rycote windjammer + canon HD wide lens addon + DM-50
Amazing HD video, only con I would say with this camera is: slow zoom focus and u can hear audio cam's engine noise, BUT if you get a DM-50 it will rock.

Which Hoodman is better 300 or 400? Is there also something like it for a 7" car-TFT?
Do you find the Canon wide adapter to make the HV20 too front heavy, as some have complained? Also, how is the quality? Thanks.
Here's some links with cool HV20 & Cinevate pics.

Smeangol, what kind of mattebox did you have on in your pic on the first page?
Cinetactics Hoodie 30 and Fotodiox 43mm hood clamped on a blue label multi-coated Hoya UV filter, Rode Videomic with a Rode "deadcat" wind muff.

Anyone got any pictures of someone holding the camcorder?
I'd like to get an idea of how it sits in the hand and its size.
Thanks.

I like the rig. I'm gonna try to set one up once I get the money.
Here's mine. Follow focus is not attached in these pics, as are the Video Mic and light. But it's getting there. Slowly...

Hey Zacatac i'm thinking ordering M2 too which did you order which is in the picture?
wht type of follow focus you have worley?
and that bundle is the M2 HD indie Bundle... redrock themselves let me "borrow" it for free for the weekend, they shipped it up... but i had to ship it back... the only thing i own in that pic is the cam, mattebox and tripod... oh and the hat, and raincoat
I'm making my own follow focus based on the one the ForwardLooker made. Both he and XFR have done some amazing work and I doff my cap to them both.
I have had to use a Lego Technic cog to complete my rig, but it works, so I'm happy. As soon as I've actually mounted the follow focus I'll post more pictures and some footage.

Hey nice rigs everyone. As for me, I just kept it simple:
Canon DM-50 Directional Mic
Canon .7x WD-43 Wide Converter
Canon HV20

Nothing wrong with simple. In fact, it looks rather nice.
Some of us just like to pimp our '20s.

I've got lots and lots of accessories for the HV20, but here's my latest one, from last night: http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2007/11/28/a-new-rig/
Thanks for the comment Worley!
I love that shoulder bracket you've got Eugenia. Where did you get that from?
I got this one http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...lder_Rest.html
Very nice setup cinemasteve87, i think i've just been swayed from the Rode mic, and Raynox glass. Even the neck strap is nice
Has the Wide-angle adapter you're using been replaced?

Thanks! 007hamster! I'm not sure if I understand your question completely, but I just got my WD-43 just last week from Amazon.com at a very reasonable price. Here's the link:

There are still two in stock if you are interested. I prefered getting just the regular WD-43 lens rather than WD-H43 because I did not see very much difference between the two. They both have .7x perspective and the WD-43 is still very good quality. You will get the same pros and cons as the WD-H43. As for the DM-50 directional microphone, it is quite sensitive and very effective. In my humble opinion, the DM-50 can compete with any other mics out there such as the Rode or the Sen. because it was built specifically for the Canon models, especially the HV20. But if you want better quality at a higher price, go with the Rode videomics. Hope I answered your question.
