on top we are using a manfrotto monopod and a rode boom.
shot a couple of tapes and i am really happy with the set up.
great picture in 25p mode with 1/50 shutter and contrast -1.
great dynamic sound with the rode.
for a run and gun type of shoot i can really recommend the purchase of a
flash bracket. it's cheap and it will make you forget that you are shooting with a little plastic toy.
That's attractive. So many rigs on here look like they're just thrown together. It's hard to find the right accessories to meet your needs and still have the rig look nice at the same time. Congratulations.

Amazing HD video, only con I would say with this camera is: slow zoom focus and u can hear audio cam's engine noise, BUT if you get a DM-50 it will rock.

You can find a flash bracket for $15.00 USD here
    http://porters.com/Merchant2/merchan...roduct_Count=1
And this is a good one!

How come B&H wants over a hundred dollars for the same?

    Default Someone holding the camera?

Anyone got any pictures of someone holding the camcorder?

I'd like to get an idea of how it sits in the hand and its size.

    Thanks.

Which Hoodman is better 300 or 400? Is there also something like it for a 7" car-TFT?

the 300 is perfect. 400 is too big.

Here's mine. Follow focus is not attached in these pics, as are the Video Mic and light. But it's getting there. Slowly...

I'm making my own follow focus based on the one the ForwardLooker made. Both he and XFR have done some amazing work and I doff my cap to them both.

I have had to use a Lego Technic cog to complete my rig, but it works, so I'm happy. As soon as I've actually mounted the follow focus I'll post more pictures and some footage.

Hey nice rigs everyone. As for me, I just kept it simple:

    Canon DM-50 Directional Mic
    Canon .7x WD-43 Wide Converter
    Canon HV20

Nothing wrong with simple. In fact, it looks rather nice.
