Where did you buy the matteblox dv? Do you need some kind of adapter to fit it in the camera? The idea of a folding lens hood is awesome!

Do you not have problems using the wide lens with such a big hood?

Nice. I'm planning on use that kind of bracket as a make-do support for a 35mm adapter.

I found it sooooo much easier to hold the camera and the footage was a lot steadier too. Might have looked a little odd though, this tiny wee camcorder with all the Pimp My Ride add ons. Felt like adding some neon lights under there

    Default another rig

a rig my friends and me assembled for a documentary project.

    -raynox hd6600+ ebay lens shade
    -novoflex flash bracket
    -hoodman
    -rode videomic(+dead cat)

on top we are using a manfrotto monopod and a rode boom.
shot a couple of tapes and i am really happy with the set up.
great picture in 25p mode with 1/50 shutter and contrast -1.
great dynamic sound with the rode.
for a run and gun type of shoot i can really recommend the purchase of a
flash bracket. it's cheap and it will make you forget that you are shooting with a little plastic toy.
