HV20 halloween webcam
http://www.halloweenlive.tv
I had to set the hv20 to output DV wide since flash media encoder 3.0 doesn't seem to support hdv firewire input.
I have flash media encoder deinterlacing, and resizing the 720x480 to 640x360. Audio is stereo 11025 hz and 24kbps datarate.
Let me know what you think. I'm pretty happy with the streaming quality. I only have it on a h.264 500kbps variable bitrate. I tried much higher, but looked the same to me. Good enough for web video.
As for the hv20 image settings... I'm leaving it set to auto during the day, and then go TV priority 1/30th at night. That seems to really improve the low light.

Leg-end
Justin.tv is the video server/host/thing, I do believe.
Cool idea, and looks pretty good, too.

Very impressed, nice work figuring out the settings. What frame rate are you using on the camera? 30p?

Well it's 60i from a HV20. The software is deinterlacing it to 30p (29.97)
I think I should attenuate the mic a bit? Can't you do that with the hv20 joystick? Maybe just a piece of foam over the mic?
Thanks,

I bumped the res to 854x480, and the bitrate to 800kbps variable h.264. It still averages 200-400kbps.

Output
Would you explain how you changed the output to DV wide on your S10? I'd like to experiment a stream also, but I'm having some trouble understanding your set-up. Your video looks super btw!

Connection
Bobby,
Another question... are you using flash decoder from CS4? How is your Canon connected to PC?
I still haven't found the DV wide output setting on my HF SD10, only 480i output- is that the same?
Thanks again...leo
