    Default HV40 - log/capture - FCP 6.0.6 Problem...

I just got my HV40 yesterday... Shot a bunch of test footage and now I'm in the process of loading it. Huge problem though.

I'm on my Powerbook G4 running FCP 6.0.6 and it is not recognizing the camera.

    My specs:
    Seq. Preset - HDV 1080i60
Capture settings - HDV Apple Int. Codec
Device Control preset - Firewire NTSC (not basic)

When I go to 'log & capture' I get: Unable to initialize HDV deck. Please make sure your deck is connected and try again.

I've done this... I've restarted... nothing...

Who might be able to shed some light on this problem for me. It's driving me mad!!!

You need to be in playback mode and Firewire or HDMI. I'll check my FCP settings and I'll come back to you

The picture was bigger than allowed ....
But again I shoot only in 24fps with HV40

    Okay, I'll try those settings...

I was able to capture video with my previous settings but only by hitting play on camera and then initiating Log&Capture. However, this is certainly not how I would like to capture video.

I will give your settings a shot and see what happens.
