I just exported a project from FCP, opened it in QT 8 and got the 4:3 squeeze. Ah well, no big deal, so I opened it in QT 7 to fix it and, what the F? It displays fine as 16:9. So 7 sees it as 1920 x 1080, but 8 says it's 1440 x 1080.
What the F?

The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

quicktime 8? i heard it sucks, you should go to QT 10.![]()
Indeed, of course 8 does video capture which will be great for doing tutorials.... not that I'll be doing this. But I'm so glad that 7 is still there.

Yeah, I don't have any experience with Snow Leopard since I don't have anything that will run it. But I know NicePlayer (which I use to route video through the gfx card and increase performance) never sees the 16:9 anamorphic flag and QT 7 does, even though NicePlayer uses the QuickTime libraries.
