Default Cool short interview with first time feature film director

I have a vudu box (www.vudu.com) and was watching some of the on demand tv stuff on indie films and what not and saw this inteview with Jeff Mizushima, the director of Etienne! which was released a few months ago I believe. Its his first feature just out of film school.

Check out his thoughts on how he shot this and what he learned.

yeah, hardly any light on him, but I was suprised to hear him say, after this experience Id probably wanna shoot digital. I usually hear film school people romanticize about film stock and how they dont wanna shoot digital. Tech has advanced now so that its looking pretty good to a lot of people. If its a good film, its a good film and more and more things are being shot digital.

I see these tvs out there with 120Hz and 240 and 600hz refresh rates trying to make more natural smooth motion. I tend to think with digital filmmaking, the cost being so much less...they might start shooting at like 60fps or higher all the time and with display technolgies advancing...watching a movie will look like your looking out a window.

    no?

It sounds like that microphone was just for show too.
The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.
