    Recent reviews of Zip Zoomfly:

"zipzoomfly.com listed free shipping and then refused to ship. Then zipzoomfly charged a restocking fee cheating me out of $21.78. I urge any individual who is thinking of purchasing to not buy from this sleasy company."

"The laptop came defective, as it kept freezing and crashing. I contacted them about it two weeks after the purchase. At first they said they'll replace it once a proper diagnosis is done. They received it and said they diagnosed it, and their so called diagnosis was "to turn it on", after 10 days of non-existant customer service a la chinese...nothing was done.

They said they would refund us some of our money, by keeping a so called 15% restocking fee despite the item being defective. To this day, we have no laptop and no money was ever refunded to us. Please avoid these people at all costs, it's a big risk.

    This nightmare continues...just our story."

I recently bought my hv30 for $450 refurbished...although I haven't seen it for that low in the last few weeks...

here are some current sellers and the best deals on a Canon hv40:
    (you can get a hv40 for 701.98 at Tigerdirect.com)

    http://beatthat.com/products/show/canon-vixia-hv40

not trying to hijack your thread, just thought I would give some useful info on fairly pricing your used hv30...

    not very useful information because:

    1. Item is not in stock
(Tiger Direct link says "THIS ITEM IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE")

    2. Its actually $799, but you need to do negotiate a $100 rebate through bing.com or something ridiculous

    3. My HV30 isn't refurbished. Its practically brand new, and hasn't been in anyone's hands but mine.

Look, im cutting off $100 the retail price. If you don't like it, purchase a refurbished this or that, or some shady ebay dealer, or some random .com company in China with rebates and scams.

But please, if you aren't planning on purchasing my HV30, then mind your own business, and don't type anything into my for sale thread.

I can buy the HV30 brand new for $799.99 at B&H
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc..._HDV_High.html

if it is on sale, it's $749

why would somebody buy the HV30 used for $700 ?

I think you had better drop your price down to $550 if you really
    want to sell it.

    The bottom line here is

You can't purchase an HV30 under $700 without taking a risk.

    Whether u risk:

    Shady Ebayer,
    Refurbished with limited warranty,
Random .com website with less than great reseller rating,
    Rebates and mail ins,
    ect...

This is a very straight-forward thread, and you all are diluting it with mis-information. Sure you want me to lower the price, maybe I will accept a best offer, but you aren't helping me sell my item, or anyone buy it. (good for nothing)

    ...to save $50?

It isn't on sale though, so you are saving $100... its not the best deal, but $100 you can spend on tapes, lens, lights, and other accessories.

I think someone who has their heart set on buying a hv30 instead of an hv40 would buy from you as they seem to be in short supply, and for the record I'm not telling people to not buy from you... why the hostility?

    1. First, the link i posted also shows the hv40 for sale at J&R (a reputable seller) for $759, even though tigerdirect is out of stock, it was just showing you the current pricing of the hv40, a newer model, in relation to the hv30 and your price.
    2. I guess if you see rebates as hassles, then dealing with a unknown person off a message board is just about the same amount of hassle...
    3. I trust my refurbished hv30 (3 weeks with no problems) with factory warranty for $450 (and extended 5 year for $45) over a used camcorder from a private party any day...

    good luck with your sale...

Besides you're not really saving $100 bucks any way! You still have shipping to pay for!!!

Who cares if his price is too high...?

It's his camera, he can do what he wants with it. If it bugs you, don't view his thread.

If he doesn't get any offers he'll catch the drift and adjust his price accordingly.

    ppl shouldn't try and make every cent back when selling their used equipment -_-;

anyone who wants an hv30 should camp Craigslist(.com). i purchased two hv30's offa ppl from it. you can easily get an hv30 for like $450 depending on where you live (closer to popular cities are better like SF/LA).

this way you dont worry about shipping; you get to test the camera out to your satisfaction to make sure the joint works, thereby negating the 'shady online person' suspicions; you immediately get your camera; and its dirt cheap

I've never seen so much immature BS on a messageboard for selling gear than I see here, and this thread is just another example of it.

If you don't like this guy's price, tough sh*t. He's not forcing anyone to pay $700 for the cam. He's simply setting a price. Heck, he didn't even say the price was firm, so for all you know he might be open to negotiate. Last time I checked, people are free to do what they will with their personal property. He can come on here and ask $17, $700, or even $4,000. If you don't like it, move on.

Do you people email companies like B&H and give them a hard time about their pricing? No. So don't do it to someone on here either. Leave the guy alone.

The admins really need to enforce a no price-policing policy here, because stuff like this is truly ridiculous. Though, it gives me a hunch that the majority of the people posting here must be a bunch of 14 year olds, so maybe that's why.
