I am about to start the next game. Do the stills have to be in order of appearance in the movie?

No, they don't have to be in chronological order or otherwise. As long as they're unaltered and straight from the movie, they're good.
What's up? Nothing!
No new game.... If the last winner can't provide, I can volunteer, again...
there was an agreement already a few days ago. If there is no new post in the next 48 hours though, then I will pass on the torch to you
Just need 250 ppl to donate $10 each, or pass the link along! or 500 people donate $5

Will do. Putting up a new game within an hour or so.
In order to keep up interest in the games, I think we could have a couple of amendments to the rules. Here are my suggestions for a mod to possibly implement:
- A minimum of one new screen shot per day
- If the winner doesn't post a new game within 48 hours, the next one is up for grabs (exactly how, that's to be decided)
These games recently seemed a bit moribund for a while, so maybe these suggestions might help...
If I may be so bold....
The one thing that kinda spoils these games for me is that nobody ever adds any really helpful clues.
All the best games use clues of one sort or another.
Clues don't have to be too obvious, or too descriptive - they can be cryptic or vague. But I always think half the fun of a guessing game is working out the clues.
Just staring at a single frame of film for ten minutes is a recipe for a psychotic episode for me! Especially given the fact that I usually watch movies at home, accompanied by moderate amounts of some amber beverage or other. So, single frames of a street or a room or whatever mean absolutely nothing to me. Almost every film I've ever seen has a shot of a street or a room in it. And it doesn't help if the street or room gives the impression of a period setting, because many contemporary films use older locations.
What I'd like to see, (and what I will do if I get a turn), is a frame that actually relates specifically to the film, is somehow intrinsic to the story, and unique to the film. And below that, I'd like clues - like its genre, its year of release, its origin - maybe even a tidbit about its plot. It could even be a cryptic statement about its plot, something like "the moral of the story".
Granted, I did get one correct based on nothing more than one scene that I happened to recall because it was particularly emotive, but most of the screen grabs in this game are just too neutral for that. I'd like to see images that encapsulated the movie's plot more.
To me, that would all make the game much more interesting and fun.

Well, I've always been adding clues to my games, there's a small one (literally!) in the current, and I'm just about to add a second...
OTOH, the idea is to guess based on the screen shots - it's sometimes actually possible even if you haven't seen the film!
If we were to implement your suggestions in full, the game would become too easy - I find the "teasing" with irrelevant shots rather interesting, and I learn a lot about films I've never seen.

Looks like we lost our GAME FORUM moderator, justinloco, who hasn't logged in since May.
Anyone else willing to take over?
Here's a little something you can add in the first post, just copy/paste it.
EDIT : Now that I've done some clean up, can I ask you to just write the name of the winner as well as the title of the movie in the post announcing them?!HTML Code:Read The Rules Before Posting
Like that (copy/paste it in the post):
HTML Code:Winner : Username Movie : Title
Game forum is closed for a while...
...and open again.
And closed again, as of September5th.
Unless we find a moderator (or two) who can spend the time in tidying up this forum, this game is closed indefinitely.
We found two GREAT persons willing to moderate this forum: paperkut12 and wildside50. MANY THANKS!
Forum open again.

Having nothing better to do, I've tallied all the winners since these games began, and here is the list. I've listed only the scores of multiple winners.
It's not an accurate indication of who is the most clued up on movies, because not all of the winners participated in all of the games. But, fwiw, here's the score:

Mr Mingo 11
Janke 5
HueynRolf 3
Tie-Shepherd 3
Spideralex90 3

- may be of help to game participants...
You have to win a game first in order to be eligible to post...
Didn't Ugarte leave the next one up for grabs?
It was AJUK who won... he suggested Ugarte do another one, but he declined, and left it for grabs. QUOTE]
I know, I know. That's what I said... kinda.![]()
You know I know you know, Krute.
Obviously not...I missed the AJUK -> back to Ugarte -> free-for-grabs angle at first . . . I got a bit discombobulated by all the games being in the wrong order in the subforum list...
Even though I'd normally quickly grab the chance to post a new game, I'm too darn tired to do one right now, I'll take a nap and then continue installing kitchen furniture...
