Thumbs up Irv Manual Focus Ring IN STOCK

Hi everyone - just got an email from Irv Design saying he has his MFR in stock again. http://www.irvdesign.com/product/mfr

I don't have one yet because I don't have upcoming projects to justify buying it yet, but I thought I would let everyone know.

EDIT: Don't know if this should be here in DIY's or Accessories forum..

And would still be a bargain at double the price. Out of all the gizmos and accessories in my camera bag, it's at the top of the list in terms of both enhancing the original products functionality and general bang for the buck.* It really does make focusing the HV**'s THAT much easier.

(*manufacturers of other products are welcome to send me samples to prove me wrong. )

Just got my email saying they were in stock. Hopefully they'll remain in stock for a few weeks till I can afford it again.

My guess is, that you will find an empty batch by the time you will have the money. Should have started saving up, when you asked Irv to mail you when the next batch would become available.

Wow, that was insanely quick. The email saying they are in stock is from 10 hours ago, I just went to his website and it says "Temporarily Out of Stock. A new order is in the works"

Yeah. I just got the email this morning. You really gotta jump on this stuff when you get the notification, as an item like this, in such high demand, is sure to go FAST

I got mine but it's really stiff and hard to turn.
Has anyone found a safe way to loosen these up or lube it?

If I can't loosen it up I'm going to find an other type of design.

    Thanks,

    s

I hope you contacted Irv about the problem. Mine is very easy to turn. Perhaps you got a bad wheel from the batch?

    I haven't yet contacted IRV.
It's hard to determine what is easy or hard since is so subjective, but I will email him today.

Thanks for getting back to me on this.

    So very true!

From over here, I meant "easy" as in smooth turning and operating with ease and without stiffness/hard stops and starts. I assumed stiffness meant that it was not smooth and was cumbersome to use.

Hope you get it resolved one way or another.
