    Default Merlin Settins for HFS100

    Hi guys. I got a Steadicam Merlin a couple of days ago, and am trying to figure out the settings for it + a Canon wide angle adapter and Rhode video-mic on top. I've gotten it very close after watching the book and DVD, but can't seem to get it perfect. Everytime I change one thing, I have to change everything else.

    Has anyone experimented with settings?

    Nobody can tell you the best settings. You have to practice and test all possible options and figure out what is the best for you.
    Now I can setup Merlin in 10 minutes with any adapter or support on my camcorder. I don't have Rode video mic so I cannot tell you specific settings, but if you setup static and dynamic balance properly, all you have to do is practice and practice...
    After some time and practice you will find that Merlin don't wanna be setup 100% perfect, but still you will be able to do perfect shoots.
