Nikon Nikkor 50mm f1.4 or f1.8 AI

This is the old manual focus lens, and so is a bit heavier and slower to turn, but IMO this is better for rack focusing.

No problem.

So I guess this is a long shot, but is there anyone with a HV20ACHR1 achromat from jetsetmodels?
Still trying to find out if it's worth the extra money. The sample video that Twoneil has up looks gorgeous, but it's hard to tell unless it was directly compared to the Twoneil HD with the PLUS instead of the HQ achromat.
I would love to find out about this!
I have one. They are lovely indeed, but I do not have any other achromats to compare it to...

Can some one please answer my question. I am trying to build the twoneilHD static and the achromat but I am a bit confused. Does the twoniel adapter use a gg-holder? and does it have the 55mm rotatable CPL filter without the glass?
Thanks for your time.
Hi
I have a few super 8 motion picture cameras.
A Nizo 810 pro and a Beaulieu4008.
I've seen some footage on youtube/vimeo of this adaptor on a super 8 lens, I think the cinematographer mentions somewhere that he used duct tape to hold it on or something.
Would anyone have any advice/experience with this adaptor and a super 8 camera? How did it work for you? etc
This persons footage is quite breathtaking;
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bH3ctZBcqjI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bH3ctZBcqjI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I would dearly appreciate it if anyone could help me so that I might be able to shoot beaufitul footage utilizng this adaptor with some Nikon lenses.
Considering my cameras' ring size and converters etc, would I get blury corners/edges? , or vignetting and/or other unwanted defects?
the Nizo 810's lens ring size/thread dimension is 62/67 I believe, so I think thats 62mm, and my Beaulieu lens thread dimesion is 62mm I think. I would need a step-DOWN converter correct? wouldnt this cause defects in the image?
Or is there simply another lens adaptor you can get for super 8 cameras or 62mm that allow Nikon lenses on super 8 cameras?
Thank you

I hear and have read great things about the Nikon Nikkor f1.8 AIS lenses.
As a rule of thumb, Nikkors and AIS lenses are the way to go.
Some people report that the E-Series are fine, some not. I have never tried them.
Hope this helps.

Can the Nikon 50mm lens be MF? or does it have to be an AF lens?
Thanks.
MF is fine.

also, Rumple do you know what kind of screen is used within the gg holder of the static Twoneil adapter?
Indeed, they are all the same for the Twoneil adapters: Canon EE-A

Thanks, you are very helpful. I have one more question however, will the Nikon 50mm f1.8 E series be compatible with the twoneil static adapter?

100% yes.
As long as it is an F-Mount Nikon lens it will work, and as these have been standard for a few years now it'll be fine. Just be warey with newer digital lens DX series or something.
p.s. those extension tubes from hong kong are fine too... wink.

ahaha. Thank you very much! I would click your rep button again but it says that I need to spread the love before clicking yours a second time!
Probs nay. My rep is looking rather healthy now, and so my ego has been sufficiently boosted.

Ok, plenty of people on here that own a TwoneilHD Static, so please do me a quick favour and CAREFULLY measure from the GG holder (DO NOT TOUCH THE GG ITSELF) to the front of the Nikon mounting?
It's very important that I know and the more people that do this the better.
Thanks.
p.s. I'd ask Twoneil, but he's away.

Can someone please answer my question? - Which I posted several days ago.
In summary, How would/do I go about using/mounting this adaptor/the TwoneilHD static to my Nizo 801 Super 8 camera and/or Beaulieu 4008 which both have a lens thread of 62mm?
What step-up or step-down converter do I need to mount the Twoneil 35mm adaptor of 43mm to the super 8 cameras' of 62mm lens thread and will there be any artefacts/defects such as vignetting?
Any additional help is appreciated.
Thank you
does it work with sony hdr-hc5?

So how do you control the aperture on these DOF adapters with a 50mm lens?
My canon only has 1 ring for manual focus and you control aperture from the camera.
Also, does having an achromat make a lot of a difference? How so?
This Wikipedia article lists all of the common focal flange distances.
Hi Snazzy, I found that wiki page soon after posting but forgot to mention it to everyone... Thanks for posting it though, its very useful.
