Default How much storage does the uncompressed footage take up?

So I'm guessing maybe 4-8gb per minute, or is it much more than that? I have a good bit of HD storage, but can always buy more.

In my case, it's 6.5 GB/min., so right in the middle of your range.

uncompressed 1080i will take somewhere around 600GB/hr of footage. Which would work out to about 10gig/min.

Don't know about 'uncompressed' but I was getting 3 and a bit Mb/sec of 1440x1080i50, which is consistent with the quoted 25Mbit/sec (assuming 8bit bytes) on a short clip.

I would much prefer if cameras were able to record in a lossless format instead of plain uncompressed, at least for the semi-pro cameras. Something like Lagarith in YUY2 would just need 120 GB of space for 72 minutes of footage.
