Default Broadcast lens 2/3 for 35mm adaptor

    Hi

I would like to know if some people have done yet an adaptor but instead of using a Canon 35mm photo lens, they try to use a Fujinon 2/3 inch lens ? I know i will need to place a +4 or +7.. in front of the GG and after it also to match the size of 1/3 of small cam. Or use a simple achromat.
I know lens have a B4 mount, but it's not the real trouble.. it's more about the distance and the GG...
    Thanks

This is interesting cause I'm also thinking the same thing. Ebay broadcast lenses are less expensive and also has greater wide & tele zooms.

But I'm skeptical that these broadcast lens I believe are used NOT in film, but in cameras with digital sensors. I also doubt that these cameras have sensors that are big enough, just like RED ONE. Thus, there will be no blurred areas but crisp, sharp areas everywhere, which we do not intend to get.

So, I'm guessing that these lenses are practically the same zoom lens as the HV20.

Let me get more infos. so I could get rid of these assumptions.

    Hi

So yeah, i've got one on ebay. It's a 9.5 - 143mm. Very good and smooth and better than the cheap plastic one of Canon, that i have also, or Tamron... The rear part of the lens is about 34mm large. Just about the double of the Canon one. So i really wonder to be able to increase the picture to fill out the GG. So maybe only a +5 or ... can work right after the lens or in second thinking.
2-i will need a planoconvex lens or a concave one..

Do you get some nice shallow dept-of-field with that??? Is it similar to a 50mm f1.8??

If that is so, the only issue now is mounting it to the extension tube and the Flange focal distance.
And if that is correct, I will get one in a jiffy.

I have lots of JB-weld to ooze out....

Yeah, that equal. Also the iris on it go from 1.8 to 16. But it all about the focal flange.. i'm pretty lost about it. Also, this morning i had try with a old mamiya teleconverter. So i think it's a 2x as far as it's written 2x on it. So just by placing it at the back of the lens and put the 355mm adapter tube (have already the canon eos tube and the canon-ee-a) and the picture cover almost half the GG. So by using maybe higher close up before the gg, it should fill up the entire GG.

    isn't it ?
