    Default 25p on a Sony FX1000E?

What is the purpose of the possibily of the FX1000 to set the camera to 25p, when in the manual this possibility is followed by a remark, that the images are converted to 50i and saved to tape in that format?
Or is this only a useable feature, when you save the images directly to an Intensity card?
Someone said: "The 50i is what people refer to as a container. When you transfer the footage from hdv tape to your computer, your editor or 3rd party software will remove the 25p footage from the container. This process is also refered to as pulldown."
Now I always thought, that pulldown was only needed to edit footage from NTSC versions?

    I am astonished!
How did you do that? I do not see any of the flaws I see, when looking at 25p . . . no stuttering. Which app do you use for post? And what are the steps you used?

    looks great!

the fx1000 is the absolutley most under appreciated hdv prosumer cam on the market today. Better low light than the hmc150, better resolution than the xha1. not to mention pretty shallow dof for it's sensor size.. not sure why that is, but I'm completely loving mine.

    Really awesome i think!

For the second shot in with the guy in white. I used a reflector for lighten up the faces.

This is a fantastic camera, i'm really tempted by it but a little annoyed it has no xlr inputs.

I'd go with the fx1000 over the xha1 or hmc at this point in time. but not sure if i'd go witht he z5 over them.. because of the price difference.

You should not see any picture difference, as the overwhelming part of the two cams is identical.

Yeah depends on how much you value your on camera sound.
I don't think it's worth it for the extra cost.
    It's only 1.3grand below an EX1

Then again, if you havn't got a sound tech on a set, then maybe it is worth it.
    So many choices.

That zombie trailer certainly shows the potential visually here.

Its funny, I was always set against Sony gear, convinced i'd upgrade to Canon or Panny, but I used a V1E & a Z1E last month and they are fantastic, I loved the build quality, the LCD positioning was sweet, the manual rings a complete joy, i'm totally sold now.
