Anuja + Nirav's Bollywood Concept: A Teaser

We're excited to share this teaser for Anuja & Nirav's upcoming Bollywood concept movie "Dil Jaanta Hai (The Heart Knows)," set to premiere on 6.7.09. The film was shot with an XHA1 + Brevis MP2 and we're eager to share more about the making-of in a doc we're putting together for EventDV-TV airing in the weeks ahead.

I'm glad we got to follow up on our last effort with a comedy that has quite a different tone but same Bollywood style. Hopefully it reflects Anuja & Nirav's hilarious true story & their unique personalities...

I think that was an extremely well done teaser. It made me want to see the movie, and I don't usually watch Bollywood movies. I should make an effort when they have universal themes.

I am curious about your use of the XH-A1 thread. Was the movie and/or trailer shot on the XH-A1? I didn't see anything posted about which camera, but that would be sweet.

Hi Duke,

Yes, the film was shot exclusively on the XHA1. It was paired with the Brevis MP.2 & Zeiss primes. We also had Cinevate's Ballare dolly with the low angle extension and the Pegasus Heavy Lifter out for a lot of our moving shots. The time savings and the speed at which you're able to change set-ups were really crucial for us on this small production. Its amazing what can be achieved with not a lot of money.
