Iīve just discovered this wonderful forum, and i am a proud hv20 owner since last week.

Iīve been shooting this weekend (iīve a 2 years son, so u can imagine my shooting topic.... ), and yesterday i started with the capturing and editing side of the job....

Iīve seen people using FCS2 and others using iMovie 08, so i decided to try both of them with a small 1 min 30" clip of my son. I captured twice the clip with the two apps. The shooting was made in HDV (25p), so i captured both in 1080 (and was curious for me that using the information for both captured clips, both used almost the same capturing code, that i donīt remember the name ).... So now it is the question....:

If both of them was captured in the same way, why the file captured with iMovie 08 was 3 times bigger than the captured with FCS2?. I played both of them, and the quality was real similar, or even the same.... Could anyone give me a reason for this?. Thank you in advance....
