    Default Hv20 wont turn on

    Hello,
from one day to another, my HV20 wont turn on.
Tried new batter pack, tried external power. Nothing.

no sound, no anything. The cassette in there wont come out, and even the lens protection is wide open.

I'm a pupil, and will go insane if its broken, please help me

Did you try hitting the reset button underneath the battery?

I'd say get it fixed by cannon, or your warranty

With the battery mounted and it plugged in, do you get any blinking charge indicator?

Sounds like a power supply problem. Got a meter to check the voltage on the charger??

    Default HV20 doesn't turns ON.

So we where working on a film shoot. We had an HV20 and an HV30. The HV20 stopped working after day 1. There was simply no power getting to the camera. Suspecting the battery, we plugged it in, but still no power, although a little blicking red light appeared under the charge indicator.

Then I lent my HV30, and after a day of shooting the same thing happened to my camera. We suspect the steady cam penetrated the casing and caused damage. Is this possible? Has anyone else ever had this happen? What would happen if we screwed in the steady cam to hard?

Please help we need to make short films. We are part of a film club.

    Sincerely,
    Magnum45

Hey Snazzy. I get this blinking charge indicator light, but my camera won't turn on. What should I do?

Have you tried to capture video to a computer since the last time you turned it on?

    If so,
    I am having similar issues:
