    Default Video Quality

Just got the camera and did a test footage tape. A mix of auto and manual with very few changes. I captured the video with HDVsplit and to be honest the footage on my computer and notebook looks grainy, especially the indoor footage.

Any thoughts... am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

If you shoot in low light, you are going to get grain, although less than on most cameras in this price range. If you shoot in bright light, you will get stunning image quality. Try it.

Dan, is it your first consumer camcorder? Just curious.

Frank, thanks I will give it a try.

Taky, I had a camcorder back in the early nineties. Why do you ask?

P.S. for low light shooting, any suggestions on a camera light?
