I shot footage on a Canon HV20 in the 24P mode. I was told it records the footage at 29.98fps even in this mode onto the tape. I can still capture the footage using Final Cut Express. The footage looks jittery at times during motion, but okay. Am I able to use this footage without pulling down the frames to 23.98?? Do I have to de-interlace the footage in the export mode?
I know I cannot eventually go 24fps, but can I export it at 29.98?? I want to use FCE if possible.
