Issue connecting 400D to laptop

So Im missing the drivers for the 400d it won't connect to xp laptop. And before you ask... Yes I am running a weird version of windows. I was wondering if anyone knew the name of the driver. I noticed that on one of the other threads that someone knew the name of the hv20 driver and was wondering if one of you gents knew the 400D.

Such a knowledgeable lot you all are if you could impart this information I would be humbly in your debt

400D / XTi doesn't need a driver, as far as I know.

I went through that already... I assume it would have to need a driver but canon dont need to release a driver because it comes as standard with xp. My problem is that I don't have that file and I was wondering if anyone knows what that file is so I can copy it from one windows to another
