    Default Question about Rode VideoMic (Shotgun or Super-cardioid?)

    ive heard many wonderful thnigs about the Rode Videomic, which i think we all know which i wont go into.

    however, after reading its overview in some places, it states that it is a Super-cardioid, which isnt highly directional as what a Shotgun microphone is exactly.

    can someone help me out on this? i am not entirely sure of the Rode Videomic now, is it exactly what it says on the box?
