OK, maybe I'm on a rant here but it could be a way to defuse some of the hostility (granted, maybe only my own) towards noobs who post questions for answers readily found in the archives or camera manual.
For the first 20 posts, a noob gets a gold star .... for a good question or a red 'X' for a bad one. Determined by how easily or how many times the answer can be found in the archives, stickies or owners manual. For each gold star the noob moves steadily ahead...for each big red 'X' he/she/it adds 10 more posts before they can move up in forum title.
The more 'X's they get, the longer it takes to go from 'noob' to "regarded member" status or something like that. The idea is so they'll eventually (hopefully) learn to find their own answers on the forum before posting the obvious question.
I don't know. What do you think? Noobs, I want to hear from you, too.
(I think it's starting to matter to much to me but I do get tired of reading the same crap over and over.)

Then I know it don't.
