Default $926 or $834 with AAA coupon @ Circuit City online

I've been holding on to my AAA 10% off coupon @ Circuit City. Saw the price drop to $926 on circuitcity.com. Total with tax and free shipping came out to $888. I'm pretty sure the price will jump back up by tomorrow as this could be a labor day special.

I used this deal today, only I one-upped it.

Best Buy had it for $934.99 Labor day Special. So what I did was, I first had them price match CC at $926. Then, I pulled out the trust 12% Rewards Members Discount (free to sign up to be a Rewards Member and you can download the best buy coupon here: http://images.bestbuy.com/BestBuy_US...se_coupons.pdf)

Then, I applied the double-points promotion for using their Best Buy Mastercard, which as long as you pay off in 30 days, is same-as-cash, but you get $5 for every 250 points (dollars) spent. This amounted to an additional $20 off almost.

Out the door, $862.15. SWEET! Thanks!

If you guys want to try this deal, do what I did. You may get a ahole manager, but keep trying, or different best buys and just use the "threat" of the 10% CC coupon to get the lower deal. I suggest going right before closing so they want to get you "out of there" and the general manager or head manager won't be there to shoot it down. You need a nice low level supervisor who has the authority to override, but will look the other way because he wants to go home. Because technically, the 12% coupon should only apply to "reg price" items, not sale items. It will require manager approval so don't waste your time with the low level employee. You only have until sept 5 to use that 12% coupon (new one should be out soon tho) and perhaps the $934 was a labor day special only?

Same here... holding on to my 10% AAA coupon for months. I finally caved in and opened a CC credit line. $906 total with in store pickup and no finance charges for 12 months.
I should have done this months ago. Oh well. It's done now.

Now I need to visit Costco and get some tapes.

Got mine for $884 at Circuit City last night.
Was originally $1099 but they had on sale "online" for $884.
Glad I looked since I don't shop at Circuit City too often. The salesguy said the sale price was ending last night (Saturday) I got to the store about 7:30pm so I kinda just made it.

Sure enough today (Sunday) the price is back up to $1099 online.

Looking forward to enjoying my HV20.
