    Default Recording with external monitor need help!

    I tried hooking up my HV30 to a small TV via the A/V cable thinking I could view the image on a bigger screen while recording but I get nothing on the TV. It works for playback in "Play" mode but I get nothing in "Record." I'm I doing something wrong? Thanks!

    Try this:

    Function > Menu > Play/Out Setup > AV/Phones > AV
