Default Lunar eclipse speeded up & given motion in Vegas

Here is another time lapse piece built in Vegas (1080-25p & .wmv). No color correction, no grading, just levels.

Khm, are you THE Michael Mann?

Video looks great. I tried shooting the sky at night, but it looked crappy. What filters or lenses do i need to get it to look this way, meaning to get this close to it?

I used the longest focal lenght, the rest of the magnification was done in Vegas. The red color is due to the lunar eclipse, the pitch-black sky is due to levels. (No, I am just A Michael Mann.)

Nice clip. I like the way you made the moon move around. Did you do that with zooming and panning or is it some FX that you did in post?

All fast movements were done in post, only a very slow movement (in the north-eastern direction) is the moon itself.

Great video. Did you get footage of the eclipse last night? I tried to get some, but our trees were in the way

No, it was a (almost total) European eclipse this spring.

My PC has died and I'm limbo at the moment. I tried watching the clip on my very old laptop, but it showed only one frame every now and then. But what I saw was very appealing.

    A copper-coloured moon. Beautiful.
